Finally, after  6 months waiting, I went to pick up our Kad Perakuan Nikah. Tee hee hee Kinda excited coz it's like another thing to proof that we are married. Yup till today, I'd randomly ask B this 'Are we married??' It still feels surreal to me.hehehe

Now B you can throw the crumpled copies of our marriage certificate from your bag, your car and home.hahaha yesss he kept that many around. Just in case coz I've been told I look underage. Ok perasan muda sekejap.muahahahaha

Wedding Photographer: Foto by Razali

When we decided to get married, the first thing I did was to look for a photographer. That's how obsessed I was about having the best man to capture the best moment of one of the best and biggest days of my life. I found one, even before we found the official date for our unison. hehe

None other than Foto By Razali. Remember this post?

2 words: THUMBS UP!!

It was marvelous working with Mr. Razali. We had never met before the wedding but his professionalism worked through out the two events. I met him for the first time when he entered my room when I was getting ready for solemnization. I was a shy person but he broke down the wall. He knew how to make the surrounding less awkward.

And he knew how to make people rock the pose baby!!! Seriously! One of the few things I told him was B and I were experts for passport photo style.hahahaha he answered 'takpela, kita amik gambar pasport je'. HEHE

Why do you need a professional photographer? A photographer can work just like your wedding planner, in term of photography. Mr. Razali handled our big family (both from B and my side) in taking pictures. There were no bumps or whatsoever. Everyone got to take pictures in turn. Be it family, friends or work colleagues. I didnt have to shout calling names or sending messengers. All were taken care of.

Alright. Last Thursday, I received a parcel. It was our wedding album *jumped like monkeys* hehehe

I however will upload few of my favourites only. We received One Custom Album and a 8GB pendrive containing 3K ++  pictures.

I'm not sure but I love the album coz it's in purple.hahaha but I did not choose the picture for the cover. It was B. I was at work at the time so I asked B to choose. I think I smiled too wide in the photo.

I still remember Mr Razali said "Sepul, Nurul, rapat lagi. dah kahwin dah sah. Rapat lagi ape malu-malu2." hahahahaa

This is the ultimate favourite photo EVER!!! I'm gonna develop this and frame it and hang it on the wall.!

This was taken in our bedroom. Mr. Razali said the background was just like white studio. Perfect! Tak sia-sia perantin cat bilik.haha

The support system. What would I do without you guys? You made me enjoy my last days as bachelorette ='))))))

Thanks guys for coming and staying till the end. =)))))))

Not to mention, Mr Razali is a creative photographer.

So why wait?? Book early to avoid disappointment. He's a hot stuff!

Wedding henna Melaka

I browsed through wedding album and saw the pictures. hehe my henna for the wedding.

If you dig out old post, there's one post where I talked about having henna for the wedding. The plan was to have a simple one at the finger tips but momma wanted something more dramatic. A good daughter I am, I searched the internet and found one henna expert in Melaka =)

I stumbled upon this blog Chanteq Henna Creation and few other more. After few comparisons, I opted for this because based on the pictures in the blog, the drawings are neat and I like the maroon-ish color. Deposit paid and few months later....

In the making....The butterflies...ahhh they looked so free till I accidentally rubbed that area on the forehead. Time tu dahi tetiba gatal.haha

Tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I just have to love it. I did drawing on both feet too but I dont have the picture. A clumsy girl that's me, I scratched head, bumped a foot to the chair, touched the wallet when the wet henna's still on. So banyak comot2 gak but managed to be covered.hahaha sorry Kak Henna. Pengantin selebet. =p

Anyhoo, if you are looking for a henna expert in Melaka, this kakak is highly recommended. She also did for Iera and Sally and boy the drawing were so fine. The longevity (over pakai word camni..hahah) of the henna for hand is about 1 week. Both my feet still have the faded drawing for about 3 weeks. HEHE

Bye!

Monthyversary

How do you pronounce that?muahahah

I was doing school work this evening when my eyes stuck at the date shown on the laptop. 26 June. Hmm.... something is familiar with that number 26. then... tinggg!!!

I ran into the room where my phone at and called B. Dial tone... then heard his voice. Then I said,

'hby hby hby hby hby hby hby'

many times until the call was disconnected. Usual problem with touch phone screen if you have plump cheek.hahahahahha

Called his number again. Then I asked him what's the date today, what's the significance for the day. A man he is, he couldnt answer. Then half shouted, I said 'Happy 1 month anniversary!!!'

You know what was his reaction?

'Cheyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy it tot I miss somebody's birthday'

=______________________________='

Anyhoo, it's been a month ride. I still feel like we are dating. not feeling all wifey yet. The only change I realise issssss I'm not as stubborn as before.hahaha but realli. Everytime I feel like making a scene, I would think 'gosh, my heaven is under his feet now'.

Lame but true.hehe now if I wana go rayau-rayau also I would text him asking for permission. Though I'm 99% he wont against it, I just feel I need to ask. weird.

We really really really really should start taking pictures together. Haish. I dont have that many recent pictures of us. Now have to use these babies to make this post less lame.

Adam and Ikha at Wisma Sanyan in front of Speedy. They were oblivious of the surrounding watching cartoon. They sure caught many attention for a while there. hahahaha

Haish now I miss the babies too.

Reception in Sibu =)

A week after the reception in Melaka, we had another one for the groom's side in Sibu. The Razak's flew all the way from KL to Kuching then to Sibu to merry the celebration. The style was a bit different there. The occasion went for about 2 hours only, unlike the usual 6 hours in Melaka.hehe andddd the bride and groom arrived wayyyy earlier than the guests. The trend is all the guests and the newly weds will sit and eat together-gether.

when we arrived, there was no kompang. I looked so serene and calm here but actually I was cursing inside. My train got stuck at the car door.miahahahah MIL was watching.so had to behave.hahahaha

We arrived early to thank and welcome the guests =)

The dais. pwetty!

Alright, once all the guests were seated, it was time for our lil parade. Behind us was not the bride's family. Because my family was ushered to their respective tables before the event started. The groom's family joined the parade.

At the dais. The MC read about both bride and groom's biographies. A lil bit history of how we met each other. Then the tepong tawar started. We didnt have tepong tawar in Melaka so I kinda enjoyed this.hehe only that the water stained my dress.

ok dah penat salam salam it's time for makannnnnnn. I looked grumpy. ekceli I was trying to peel the shrimp kulit using fork and spoon. =.='

The whole clan from Melaka. =)

Not even half of the clan from Sibu.hehe cousin mousin suma tak naik lagi waktu ni.

Ikha as usual was inspecting. Actually she was intrigued by the train. rasa macam suma benda dia nak langgar.hahahah

The event started about 10am and by 11.30 am the hall was almost empty. by 11.55am the bridal crew came and took down the clothes for the background and the flowers. and they changed them into peach color for another reception at 2pm. That fast so I didnt really get to feel all bridey.haha

That's the end for Sibu Reception.

Apart from the reception. I got to experience another culture, eh not culture. ermm..practise maybe where the night before the reception/wedding, the family will held an event call 'bermukun'.

A group of people will play the instruments for bergendang event. Then they will berbalas nyanyian between female and male singers. Almost like Dondang Sayang melaka. The lyrics will tease and sometimes critic both genders which is fun.

The guests/relatives are welcomed to dance too!

And of the course the bride was the person they wanted to see dancing. We just arrived from kuching so pardon the selekeh face.and oversize shirt.muahaha At that time B was hiding because he didnt want to join. =.='  but not for long baby!

He came out from hiding then got caught by me. mana boleh i sorang2 hoccay. terpaksalah kan tho macam kayu.hahahaha

Like I said, bermukun happened the night before the reception. There was another gathering happened the night AFTER the reception.

Karaoke yall!!!!

And again, we were forced to sing a song before we cabut. B and I planned to stop by for a while (we stayed at the hotel for 2 nights) and left. But of the course we were caught to sing before we were let go.huhu they wanted us to sing Ombak Rindu but honestly I dont know the song (i seldom listen to Malay songs) so B and I settled for Kau Mawarku. The note was too high for me so I ended up singing only several parts. Yelah Siti Nurhaliza vs Siti Nurul Ain. mana boleh!

After the lame show from us, we bid goodnight and returned to the hotel. Perantin penat hoccay!

Anyhoo, those experiences are valuable and I might not have the chance to go through anymore. =)))))

Wedding Photobooth

I dont dream for my wedding. and pretty much everything for my wedding was decided by Mom. You could dig out past entries about how I surrendered to all mom's demands and let her decide everything.

However, there's this one element that I tot would make the reception merrier. PHOTOBOOTH corner!!!!  MUEHEHEHE

At first I tot of candy buffet but the problem is the weather could be too hot and melt all the chocolates. and also it needs somebody to be in charge. I dont want any member of my family to be 'cuffed' at the same area. I want them to walk around, chit chatting with other family members and have a good time. So one day I came across this idea, about photobooth. and the story continued from there.

I want to thank Diba and Saiful (not my B tho..haha) for all the hustle driving from KL and got lost finding my  house. Your service brought smiles to the guests and family members. All the smiles in those polaroid films sometimes brought tears to my eyes. I'm not kidding! I'm touched to see the happy faces and all the wishes and prayers from parents, family and friends. Thank you so much!!

=')

Adik beradik antara penyumbang wajah terbanyak.haha

The guestbook. Included in the package =)

This is a picture of me and the bridesmaids - iera and sally. The left this on the dressing table before the left. Nangis sikit tengok kesucian wajah kami.muahahaha makseh tokrang!!

Howeverrrrrrrrr, there's one little problem. I ordered 50 polaroid films. After the reception, I counted how many were pasted in the guestbook. The number is close to 40. About 10 films went missing. huhu I guessed some were too excited to have their own pic in the film so they took it with them. Neh mind. At least I know people were interested. This includes my mom-in-law. I remembered we took a photo, B,me, MIL and FIL. But the photo wasnt in the book. When I was in Sibu, mom-in-law showed me the photo. She keeps it in her purse. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Ok diam nurul!hahaha

My wedding dress (s)

I had 3 wedding dresses. One belongs to me. the other two were rental.hehe I have love hate relationship with all the dresses.

Solemnization dress.

I forked out own money for this dress. The material is beaded chiffon bought at Gulati's Jalan TAR. Actually I wanted to buy from Jakel but I was confused between Euromoda and err...something Moda which turned out to be Gulati's. Nehmind la. still love the dress though.haha it's a modern kurung with lining. I love the dress coz it fits nicely. Not too tight not too loose either.Just nice. And super comfy too!

What I hate about the dress is the color. Dirts are easily spotted. We had outdoor shoot at a bushy area. At the end of the day down part of my skirt collected dirt. nangis mak ok! But honestly, among the 3 dresses, I love this the most. andddd it's mine.muehehehe

we all mengharungi semak samun for outdoor photoshoot.luckily I didnt choose reception day for outdoor. After nikah off we went.

muka with no make up. the night after the photoshoot.

Since I love the dress too much, have to paste 3 pictures.haha

Lendu Reception Dress

The only thing I love about this dress is the color. The rest...nahhh! It's too heavy, the train is too long for my liking. I specifically told the bridal that I want a one-piece dress with NO TRAIN! and simple beadings on the chest area. I got a total opposite. But I was too happy on the day that I ignored the blerghh feeling. I feel like the dress made me look fat. and the fact that I always hunch my back didnt help at all. I tried to find any picture of me carrying the train in my hands but couldnt. bottom line, i dont like the dress.

The train is about 1 meter long *nangis* at the end of the day I had to carry it around like a handbag.

see, i'm a hunchback. My auntie always reminded me: Nurul, tegak sikit, tegak! jgn bongkok.haha i think i look fat. and short too. well let's face it. I memang short.muehehe

Sibu Reception Dress

The 2nd dress that I love after baju nikah. It's newly made for me by the bridal in Sibu. The first time I laid my eyes on it i was in loveeee.haha I went for dress fitting the night before the reception. Arangg, the bridal manager tailored the dress according to my baju. it's a bit loose i.e. I've lost some inches.muehehehe

I love the color which is turquoise, the detailing and the cutting. A one-piece dress that made me feel like a pwincess that day. auuu!

it has a half feet length train =)

alrite that's all the story of love-hate relationship with my dresses. If I could turn back time, I want to go back on the day of the solemnization.heeee

Have a great day everyone!

Wedding

Now that my cousin is safely married, all the attentions no go to me, the next in line to be hitched. It's just natural for people to get curious and excited about weddings.hehe They want to know about the concept, about the theme color, about the designs, about the caterer and down to the littlest thing like what would be my centerpiece.

I'm not trying to hide anything or trying to create surprise elements about my wedding but honestly, I myself, the bride is almost clueless as those who were asking. True story.

Let's break it down.

1. The concept.
From my understanding, the concept should be vintage, retro, traditional, garden or fairy tale. For my wedding, I think my concept is 'Lendu Kampung Style Concept with a hint of modern contemporary and a little fairy tale'. Boleh gitu??hahahahahaha Why the because? it is because I have never thought of any concept. My one and only concern is that the solemnization goes well. InsyaAllah.

2. The theme color
I think I've talked about this so many times in the previous post. My theme color would be purple with a hint of green (the wall is green) and also bright yellow (the curtain is in this color) and also cream (my baju nikah). Can you imagine that?hahahaha I dont want to stick to one color because some of the things for the wedding were sponsored by kind hearted people so I dont want to be lebih kuah dari sudu by demanding things. People want to give, you make do of everything. And I forbid, yes forbid my mom to tailor a new curtain just for the sake of the reception. it's not economical and we are running out of space to keep curtains and bed sheets.

3. The designs
These include the design of my dais, meja beradab, dresses and make up. Honestly, I put all my trust on the vendors. As long as they turn out appropriate should be fine wimme. I dont expect too much because if it doesnt turn out like what i have expected, i'm gonna be a bridezilla, maybe faint a little be or worst wanting to cancel the wedding. yes a bride can be that emo. so shoving aside all those thoughts, i want everything to be ok and not burdening anybody. If everyone is happy, I am happy. If everyone is happy, they are most likely not to talk bad about the wedding. Kata-kata itu doa.

4. Caterer
The caterer is my mom's colleague who has been in the business for so long. We hired them for merisik and also engagement and the food were delicious. they are a bit pricey but my mom, abah and i believe that we should put more money on food than other nonsensical stuffs. When the guests eat delicious food and not getting diarrhea the next day, the purpose of the kenduri is achieved. That's the most important thing. In our village, people dont usually talk about the grand wedding. it's the food that is getting the attention.hehehehe

5. Door gift.
The caterer is giving out free 400 doorgifts. After thinking for so long, mom decided to add another 600 for the guests. So we dont need to crack our heads about this thing anymore. and all of them will be prepared by them. My house will have more space since we dont keep the doorgifts till the reception date.muehehehe I like!

Basically, I want everything to be simple.

I've got people asking me what's my current project for the wedding. They thought I might be so busy by now. They even asked my mom. Funny thing was we both looked at each other spontaneously and laughed a lil bit. Because so far, we are not busy with anything.haha We want to get busy but donno with what.hoho

Ok la. A long post for the whole week. will be going to Kedah tomorrow. Mom is excited to give out the invitations plus my cousin's reception on the groom's side is on Saturday.

Toodles!

wOOT!

To the government, please please please please please call me to report for service asap!hehehe You wont want to miss a highly excited teacher who wants to start giving back to the nation. wah gitu! yeappp. Been unemployed for 8 months and counting babeh!

********************************************************************************

Today was a bit slow. This morning, I accompanied mom to Honda Service center. We arrived at 10.55am as our appointment was at 11.15am. When the receipt came back, it was stated that the estimated time for delivery was at 3PM!!! I was already hungry so I bugged mom to go somewhere else. I called for a taxi and by 12pm, we were in Jusco. yeah yeah yeah. We went for lunch first before jalan-jalan. The weirdest thing was while eating, we got a call from the service center saying that the car was ready. Whattttt??!!! It's like the first time in history since mom bought the car that it took less than 2 hours for the service. =___________=

Cut story mory short, after the service, we later went to the shop where I book my wedding cards. It was supposed to be the final checking before printing. I was disappointed. The design from B's side was not ready, not complete. They even put the map to my house on his side. I was disappointed because:
  1. it has been a month since I put down half of the deposit.
  2. they never give me any email to inform about the progress. I had to call first asking. They promised to email.
  3. after a month, i expect only some minor errors but it was larger than that.
  4. I called on Friday saying that I was going to see the draft today and they still had the nerve to show me unfinished work. *sad*
I'm a cool bride *puke*. I dont like to show my annoyance in front of people. So I told the kakak nicely to finish it and I want it to be done asap. Because they agreed in the first place that the cards would be ready in 2 weeks. Alhamdulillah, the kakak was apologetic of the situation. She looked disappointed too looking at the card because it was done by one of the staffs who were on leave. Haish. The kakak promises to have the matter done - she even wrote 'URGENT' on my draft and would like for me to come back on Monday. HEHE

Even mom was looking angrier than me.hahahahahaha Hopefully it will turn out so fine.

of wedding talks

I'm sleepy and yawning every 2 minutes. But I'm waiting for the clock to strike 10 then send a message to B and wait for his call.tee hee he's working night shift tonight so I'm left bored. boooo

It's been sometimes since I last update about my wedding preps. Truth is, I'm getting bored with all the wedding talks. This one NO kidding! I was so tired about the various options that I let my mom to choose my wedding dress design and dais. hahah I guess I cant be like the BBF who are so patient and determine to make their big day big.hew hew...

For the color theme, I've decided to stick on purple. Dont care la  if it's the same with my cousin. From a positive point of view I could recycle  use some of her stuffs like purple carpets (this one i lerbbb the most...hahaha) coz you know carpets are expensive, her deco stuffs like flower and the butterflies. I could even borrow their curtains! hehehehe

Yeppp those purple carpets. My auntie got 3 of those. muehehehe

Yerp those butterflies. Though I have no ideas what to do with them =.='

Basically, anything that can be recycled, I would! For the dulang, another auntie has offered to lend me hers which look almost like this.

Thanks Busu =))

So I have to let this idea go plus my mom is totally against this idea. Quote: 'macam hantaran main2"

Apart of being so overwhelmed with all the wedding stuffs, another reason is because I dowan to argue with Mom anymore so most of the time I would say yes to all her suggestions. I know it's my own wedding but it breaks my hear to break hers. I'm scared that I will offend her in any ways terus majlis aku takde berkat.

My mom wanted to have Malam Berarak oso like my cousin but abah refused. *phew*. So cancel that plan.hahah but she wants me to have the "tukar-tukar costumes" event. I really dont want to change clothes so many times coz it's tiring and when I'm tired, I'll become super grumpy. I tried to appeal (wah gitu) but she'd always use this phrase "ko sorang jeww anak perempuan mak".. Kalau uols sampai hati tak??? I gave in because I'm gonna follow B to Bintulu after that so I make it a must for myself to make my mom happy in every ways through out the wedding. *Sobssss, sayang mak*

So far, I've booked the bridal shop for the dais and dresses, MUA will be my auntie, the one who did mine for engagement, wedding invitation is also done. My mom is still negotiating with her colleague for the catering. Hopefully we can get cheaper price than the quotation.tee hee

B and I are also busy listing out some of the homestays in Kuching for our family trip after the reception. This one I really put all the efforts to search for the best homestay and transportation because it's FREAKIN' family trip to Kuching yalll with all the family members coming! It's gonna be 16 of us weeeeeeeeeeee......hehehehehehehhe see, even thinking about this makes my heart flowery lah~!

Wedding talks!

According to the ticker, we have 5 months, 3 weeks and 4 days left before our 'I do' ceremony.

Yesterday B called me, he just had a meeting with his vendor in Sibu and confirmed their booking. His side has also confirmed the Hall for wedding venue, catering, dais and decoration, photographer and wedding cake and favors. All in less than a day. Our side???? Only the photographer is confirmed.

I straight away told mom about their side's progress. Mom said it's still too e arly. Then I told her "Mak, tinggal 5 bulan 3 minggu 5 hari je tauuu"... and she was like... whatt? She didnt know I was counting.hahaha

After she was silent for few minutes, she grabbed her mobile phone and started dialling. Apparently, She was calling the caterer, the one from my brothers' reception. She asked about the price per head bla bla bla. And the caterer confirmed that the price remains the same RM8 per head (like 3 years ago punya price) hahaha The caterer reminded Mom that she can only take 5 jobs per day and people have started booking her till June. Baru Mak nebes tau. So the catering is 50% done.tee hee

Another progress is I've booked for henna drawing lady (sukati aku jewww term macam tu) for nikah. Yesterday I asked Mom should I have simple henna or she wanted with the drawing too. She said 'up to you' la. So I said just make the simpler version. I'm gonna do it. She later said 'kita mana pandai buattttt'. You get the hint? She wants the one with the drawing. Adoi omak den! Last night I sruveyed for a lil bit, and found this lady who offers henna drawing service in Melaka. Melaka brides,,,, visit here! - Chanteq Henna Creation. She offers various packages but I'm opting for the cheapest. As long as it satisfies my mom's...

Taken from the blog

Another progress isssss I've booked an appointment with my photographer, next week. Since B's in town, it's best for the both of us to go and see him in Batu Pahat. Road trip! Haha

what else eh? haaaa.... I'm searching around for affordable homestay in Kuching for my family trip 3 days before our wedding reception. We gonna stop at Kuching for 3 days 2 nights trip before flying to Sibu.hehe I've emailed some and one has replied (my first choice apparently). I kinda like their houses since they can cater for big group. It's gonna be 14 of us. Now I need to find some money for the deposit. Oh they also have rental van service. Now keep digging Nurul till you find the manehhhhh!

So far so good. I'm changing my hard headed attitude towards Mom by trying to fulfill what she wants for the wedding. Because of our constant disagreement, nothing gets settled. So for the benefits for all of us, I follow you makkkkk!

Ok bye.

p/s I know lately I always talk about wedding stuff. Who wouldnt if you have a wedding to make?hee

Worth of Money - Wedding Photographer

I wanna ngerepak (membebel) in this post.

I've booked my photographer like zillion months ago. Ok tipu. Booked in June. I took the risk of booking him though the date wasnt decided back then. I TOOK THE RISK AND PAID THE DEPOSIT. wah emoss!

Why? Because I fall in love with his work. His pictures.

And only recently Mom knew about this. She seemed upset that I paid that much for a photographer. Penat den terang kek omak den.

It's not about the money. It's the worth I'm looking for. My mom said her school photographer only charges RM900 for an event. Mine was 2k. But I got lucky. For 2 events the total does not exceed 3k. He waives the transportation and accommodation fee. It's still under my budget. Yesss I put soo much money for a photographer. The rest - pelamin, baju bla bla I dont care. No pelamin oso can. =D

i ALWAYS, and always love to see group photos. They speak the moment.

I told my bro and sis in law about this, and they agreed with me. They told me some of their friends hired inexperienced photographers for their weddings. Some were cheaper and more expensive than mine. But the outcomes were not satisfying. There was one of my bro's friend, the photographer's charged cheap but the pictures were printed from a printer used at home!!! and the pictures were over edited i.e. the faces in the pictures were glowing -  terover terputih gitu. alaaa you know that kind of picture la...

Actually my writing was interrupted by mom about an hour ago. So I basically lost about everything I wanted to write.hahahaha

Soooo if you were in my shoes, wudcha  opt for:

a RM900 photography package but the outcomes were blerggghhh!

orrrr

pay a bit more like 2k but the result is satisfying?? it's your call. For a lifetime memory.

p/s Photo Credit

p/p/s I'm not hiring any videographer. No budget. Plus I dont think we need it. Plus Abah's camera can record good video. Plus my phone oso can record high quality video.haha later can use Windows Movie Maker and edit and include a song.hahahaha ok lame joke.
