Communication is vital

Being married, we learn things on daily basis. Wayyyy before I become a wife, I've read in newpaper columns, magazines, online forums or just friends' facebook statuses about the importance of good communication in a marriage. Especially in a long distance marriage, good communication is all we got.

I dont believe that wife should swallow everything and be a good wife. It might have worked long time ago but  I was brought up with 4 males siblings where my opinions were equally heard. I dont believe that girls opinions should be shut off and leave unheard. Women are equally educated as men so please dont use sentences like 'My mom bla bla bla'. Women nowadays dont grow up in the same generation like your mom.  Sorry if you dont agree with me.

But, if you feel like you need the husband to know something, talk slowly, patiently, softly. Dont be a demanding bitch that the sun and the moon move around you. It takes two to tango in marriage, much like in other relationship. 

I'm not good in giving advice. Alhamdulillah, I am married to a man who always have ears to listen to my grumble. and he manages to tame my wild anger, never retaliates with bad or harsh words. Eventually, I stopped being harsh in discussion or when I was angry. Alhamdulillah for such a great husband.

Just a thing to ponder. What ever happen to a spouse, might also affect the other one. For example, the husband wants to change his career and facing some problems with it. So dear husband, be sensitive too that your wife must have worried about you but since you never ask, she would have swallowed her feelings. What ever changes in a marriage, it will affect both spouses.

haish, dah taip taip rasa lame... anyhoo, my point stands. Communicate people, communicate! Dont assume!

New Additions

Our house was built about 3 years ago. And because of the period, our fans are aging gracefully, including the one in my room. The speed has become slower although it's the maximum speed. I used to wake up randomly at night sweating and my hair was soo wet as if I slept in a pool. I have an air conditioning unit in the room but my kampong body cannot bear with the temperature. Too hot salah, too cold pun salah.=_________________________________=''

So after a long thought, I decided to buy a table fan. Couldnt take it anymore. It's  apparently summer in Melaka where the weather usually very humid even at night.hehe So today after school, I dropped by Jusco and bought one table fan. Muehehehehe

Ouuyeahhhh baby! Sleep like a bawseeee tonight!

B gave this as our 8th year anniversary. The book on the left is for those who are in marketing/advertising/creative industry. He bought it for me coz he toto teachers should be creative too. Damn he's true. Some of the advices, heck all the advices in the book are really practical for teachers.hehe the second book I have yet to flip.hehe

Better

I feel so much better today. Alhamdulillah.

I'm catching up with work baby steps. I'm still learning how to balance my work. Hopefully I can become a fast learner because works dont wait baby!

Those pics were taken during our so called honeymoon. Well it was supposed to be our honeymoon but I fell sick. Bummer! Reason?

I binge-eating seafood on the night of our arrival and suffered food poisoning for the rest of the vacation.woooo... I'm a huge fan of crabs but if some body show me a plate of crab right now am gonna barf. I suffered diarrhea and vomit which had successfully ruined the whole honeymoon period.


And because of that, B wants to have another honeymoon but we have yet to choose the place. huraaahhhhh! 


I'm thinking Singapore right now. or Perhentian. B wants to go to Korea. I dont think so.haha 

Treasure

I was digging into my drawer this morning and found a small yellow box. I opened it only to find the ring. B gave it to me for my 18th birthday and before I went off to Labuan Matriculation College. It still fits my sweet finger (jari manis). Hehe

I dont wear it anymore because 3@4 years ago it didnt fit but now it does. Have to send it for cleaning though. Looks a bit rusty :-)

Btw, his mom helped him to choose the ring. He's pretty bad when it comes to choosing anything for girls.

7 wonders of the World. Eh?

Today is the day!

The arrows indicate where it all started. From a simple question:

"Pul, ko anak tunggal ka?"

leads to 7 years of journey. =D

Yeah we never spoke at all,  before the dialogue and he sat right behind me.

Yess the guy who's pointing at the camera is him. This was taken few days before SPM. We've just started dating and we still kept it a secret back then. Hence, not a single picture of us together.

He will by flying from Bintulu tomorrow night. Yess he's coming for my convocation day =))))))

And we get to celebrate our anniversary which is makaning at Fariz jahh. After we both burned holes in our pockets paying for flight tickets, the theme for the anniversary isssss Budget is Cool. hahahahaha

Wedding Budget @.@

Mom used to tell me that Guys dont always budget/ control their financial. This leads to me forcing B to prepare a budget for the reception on his side i.e. Sibu. Am lazy to paste the whole breakdown of the expenses but imma show the gross budget for the whole reception.

Anyway, B was astounded with this amount, something that he did not expect. If you notice, the upper column contains all KIV matters, things that we are not sure of. Berapa eh bayar kadi?

But this is just a budget. Along the way we will try to cut some of the things that may not be necessary and will focus more on things that need the utmost attention. Me, as a future wife to be will try very very hard to help him along the way. Semoga rezeki kami murah!

So to all potential husband to be, please please please get ready with a budget for your wedding. Wedding is the only occassion in your life where you'll fork out cashes just like you poop in the toilet.
