Happy Birthday Me =)

Kinda late for a birthday post but this year's was too sweet to let it be passed.

I turn 26 on 4th June this year. A quarter of a century is gone. Alhamdulillah for all the blessing You have bestowed upon me. All the people, the experience, the ups and downs have shaped me into what I am today. But just like a dough, the future might shape me into someone else.hehe cherish every moment.

Just like last year, this year birthday was celebrated in Sarawak. Last year was no celebration because we were tired of the wedding reception.hehehe This year, I had my bestfriends and family celebrating with me. Mak Buyong is touched =')

2nd June 2013 - early birthday suprise

They waited for B and I to arrive till the 'happy birthday' burned a lil bt. Cake sedap from Ieer, Sally, Masty, Abg Macho Redzuan and Fatin.

Sorry sekda amik gambar kitakorg ariya...huhu

Thank you thank you thank you. You all made me feel like I was 16 again, still in our hostel room, all giddy and excited.

The next day, B and I drove back to B's hometown, Sibu. We arrived in Sibu around 4pm. Rested for a while before headed to B's auntie's house for which I thought for family makan-makan.

Little did I know my husband, who's the worst secret keeper when it comes to suprise had gathered his family to throw a suprise birthday dinner for me. and not a slightest clue was dropped as I had no idea at all...huuuuu It was so sweet of you B =)

Celebrated birthday with lil cousin, Azam =)

The aunties made me wear this Iban traditional piece =__='

Not used to be a center of attention, I sweated like hell. Malu tapii mahu giiiiiteeewwwwwwwww

Food picture should always be the largest. ahah the spread of food. We had KFC, Sate, tomyam, kijang and specially requested by B for me, Mi goreng and nasi goreng Normah =))) I'm a big fan of B's auntie's mi and nasi goreng.heheh

I flew back to Melaka on the 5th of June. I arrived home around 11pm and found a small secret recipe box in the fridge. A slice of blueberry cheesecake from le sister, Iffa. No picture though coz I gobbled all in minutes.hahahaha

Received many birthday wishes through Facebook, Whatsapp and SMS made my days. I even received one birthday wish through SMS from my student name Dorothy who I cannot remember who is she at all until now (my bad). But she remembered me and even my birthday. *nangis lok*

No words of thank you could put how I feel inside. I feel loved, appreciated and grateful by all the kindness I received from the people around me.

Thank you, kamsahamnida, arigato, syukran, terima kasih.

I am one lucky person.

Strangers - Friends - Family

One good thing about going to boarding school is you get to know every students from every form. It's weird to me when my students do not know other students from the next class because I could remember all my friends from the same batch although we were in different classes.huhu That's when strangers become your friends and a few will stick and be your family.

I'm glad to follow the decision to go to Bintulu because I got to meet the bestest friends from high school. Mommy was in love for a day =)))

Started on Friday night when Sally and I went to fetch Shatiti from the terminal bus. and Sally bought us dinner at a fancy place too. hehe

Then continued the second day for Aya's solemnization.

Cgek jak la gambar ho sebab mak buyong sakit belakang.haha

Then the Reception day when many other schoolmates attended the wedding.

Ze gurlss

Ze boysss

My belly became a hit that day. Too many touches received.hahahaha

Some were not in the pics as they had to leave early =)

Since the reception was for 2hours only, we had time to kill for the rest of the day. All decided to go for karaoke. yeay!

B owed me one song as he didnt sing during our reception. He thought he could make it for karaoke session. No way B. I still want one song in large crowd. Muehehehe

Managed to balance the bottle on le belly.muehahahahah

Honestly, before this, I never knew  they all have good voices. I jewww yg takde..hoh
For the closing, we all went to Tanjung Batu for a dose of ABC and Ais Kacang.

Andddddddddddddddddddddddddddd

they surprised me with a birthday cake =')

Mommy kept her cool and didnt cry ok.

Thanks guys......I know I looked emotionless but my head was sweating from excitement.Mommy kan brutal =p

My Best Friend's Wedding

School mates are the craziest

So yesterday my ex-schoolmates, Iera shatiti and Paus came to visit me in Melaka. Ok tipu. Came to visit Suzi's dotter and 'menguras' in Melaka. We met at Jusco for makan-makan, shopping and gossip.haha

From left: Suzy, me, Paus and Shatiti

In 25 years of living, I have many sets of friends. Primary, secondary, maktab, UKM, and working place. But tell you, secondary school friends are always the craziest and most comfortable to be with.hahah the last time I met Paus was in Form 5, SPM. I met her again yesterday, still crazy and noisy as always.hehe

I guess studying in a boarding school wasnt bad at all. We grew up together as sisters =)

Raya in Bintulu

So my raya journey continued in Sibu.hehe

On the 5th day of Raya, B and I left Sibu at 3pm and headed to Bintulu. B wanted to prepare for his assessment on Monday and I wanted some our time alone.hehe so Bintulu off we went.

A day after that, B and I visited few of our school friends' houses. I had not been to any since I left school so i was teen-excited to meet and catch up with all the latest gossips.hahaha

Taken at Sally's. (mok berik iera jeles sebnarnya...haha)

We first visited Amai's house, then we kidnapped Amai and went to Sally's house. after that we went to Nessa's house. Then grabbed some dinner and stood in front of Ilan's door after Magrib. Last destination was Aya's house. phewww!

Since it was the 6th day of Raya, there wasnt any special meal. but i had a full belly of kuih and kek lapis.hahaa

The baby is Aya's sis' hehe

p/s B bought that cotton polka dot kurung for me at Cheras Uptown. It's so comfy and I just needed to wear it again again.hehe

Selamat Hari Raya uolllss!

Rojak Entry

Been so lazy to update blog since the babies are around. I'm a clingy auntie like that! So wanna rojak everything into this post =)

1. Swollen feet.
I am not sure what happen on Friday but i kinda trip on my left foot, leaving it all swollen and painful. That evening I self-massaged the area and the next morning the swelling area subsided. Still painful now but only when walking.hee

2. Cucumber
Abah is doing reallly fine these few days with his cucumbers. Alhamdulillah. After almost 3 years of frustration - spoiled crops, overproduced, no market problems, he finally can harvest his hard work - after freakin 3 yearsss!

3. PPSMI
Seems like the PPSMI will continue till 2020. This will be a great news for urban kids but a nightmare for rural kids. But everything will have its pros and cons right? Good luck for teachers who teach at the rural areas. And for English teachers, definitely more pressures on you!

4. SPP Interview.
I really need to start studying. I have but not much. My biological clock has set me feeling sleepy around 10pm everyday.... And when I come back from work, I'm always too tired and just wanna lie down and watch tv.heeee Oh yesterday I read a news regarding the interview about if we fail it, we might not be hired. I was worried and of course felt unfair. I talked to mom about it. 2 pieces of advice from her.

  1. You will NOT get hired in any interview if you fail. So why suddenly you feel you're so special? Pekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk kena skali kat muka.
  2. Why in the first place you're so worried about failing? You have been in this field for almost 6 years. And it is compulsory for you to know everything about it. Like a doctor. If a doctor isnt familiar with his field, what's gonna happen to the patient? Peekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk pekkkkkkkkkkkkkk double slap on the face. T_____________T
Thanks mak. Pedas wooo kena lazer ngan senior teachers.

5. Be grateful
I sometimes notice that some people dislike my comments about being grateful. And I can sense hints of sarcasm when they talk to each other. Ok la like this, I talk about being grateful ONLY in my blog. Soooo it's so obvious that you often come visiting this crappy blog, where I speak my mind. And IP addresses dont lie either. Why dont you just stop coming rather than feeling like I've stuffed your mouth with chillies? and then go ranting about my writing?

I write based on what I see and my understanding. If you feel like I dont understand you, then why sweat? I dunno how to say it nicely to your face. Karang I sound direct terus moha nak?? Maybe this is my way to advice my own friends. Especially when you complain too much like the world is dying because of your situation. Have you not seen or read anything around you? Like in Bangkok right now? Kalau macam ain ke, leen ke i sound direct jahh.

If you complain so much now, you're not gonna like it when you are in school. At least now you just have to worry about being jobless. In school, there are tonnes of things to be worried and usually are out of your capability to control. I grow up with teachers as parents. I'm pretty familiar with the drill. One of the reason my dad stops teaching is because of the problems. My dad still have about 8 years before his retirement age but he decided to be a farmer because plants make him happy. See? even my mom, at her seniority level, still complains about students, parents, workloads, colleagues. See?

One of the reason we all want to work because of money. But after that what? We all strive to be happy in life. If money is your priority, then be it. But a beginner teacher's salary wont get you anywhere. Just a decent house and car. Nak pakai Honda city? Vios? Stop dreaming unless you plan to work at rural areas or be single until 30 before you get married.

Ok la. I'm tired justifying. ceh.hahaha this is my 5cents. If you like it, then take it. If not leave. I donwanna sound like Miss Right. what i said I try to practice it too. Do what you preach kan?

aaaanywayyyyyyyyyy SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDIL ADHA TO ALL MY MUSLIM FRIENDS!

p/s lemang and rendang itik kirim salam =)))))))))))))

A baby is on the way!

This morning, my mom banged on my door to wake me up for Subuh prayer. Well, it happens every morning -  i mean the scene of banging.hehe I do set my alarm every night but somehow my body prefers the natural alarm which is mom's banging.hahaha

aaaanyway, I was still very the blur even after I prayed. The second thing I did as usual was to check on my phone. I received a message from Leen.

She sent a simple one. Peaches! 3cm.

At first I was like....*frowning*..... trying to digest her message. Then I remembered our code. Peaches = in labor! We took the one in Ice Age 3.hahahhaa

At the time of writing, she's still waiting. Still can send messages to me la.hehe

InsyaAllah. If you are reading this, please pray that she'll have safe delivery. I'm excited to be an aunt again. My niece and nephew are no longer babies.huhu

My Convocation Day =)

Let the pictures do the talking. I'm still exhausted.

miahahahaahahahahahahahahahahaha. Kak GG, this pose ok? hahaha

Peeps on my left.

On the right.

Spot mehhhh. I love the fact that I smiled in all the pictures, which means I was genuinely happy yesterday. Oh this one was taken by Abah from his seat. =)

Abah forced us to pose behind the tree =.='

Yeay I got 4 bouquets of flowers!!!!!

Sisters!

From the screen

Abah didnt smile for the camera. But because of the balloon. He tried to make fun of me. Ciss!

The reason for this picture is I was making 360' turn looking for the balloon. I tot I lost it when the rest laughed at me. The thread tersangkut at one of the flowers. ish~

Mi familia =)

Ehem. ehem..

But I lost sight of my friends and didnt get to take group pictures with them. And no pose baling topi konvo too =(

But but apart from that, I was soooooo happy yesterday. In fact the happiest in this few months. After all the mumbo jumbo, we went to Fariz for makan-makan. B blended well with my family, my family treated him well too. Annnnddddd the best part is my parents addressed themselves as 'Mak' , 'Abah' and 'Umi' when they spoke to him. miahahahahahahah

Ok bye !
