True Meaning of Craving

Since this journey started, I have had few things that I craved for. Some that I could get some still pending till this day. I dont let myself be too indulge in wanting something like if I want it  I want it. But more to 'kalau ada, adalah' kinda. That helps to keep the stress of not getting you want away. Plus with husband is away most of the time, one can you do?haha Like craving for Ikea meatball. if I really really psycho about it, I would have driven myself up to Damansara =)

Anyhoo, one of the things I craved for was this kerepek bawang. or some call it kerepek telinga. I've been searching for this since January. This kerepek usually appears around raya. Told my colleague last week and voila, yesterday (Monday) she handed me a packet she got from Batu Pahat. Rezeki yo!

And the whole day yesterday I was so giddy and excited waiting for Maghrib because of this! Just took a small portion of mee goreng, a glass of water and later gobbled em up!! Even I was surprised with myself to have that kind of reaction to kerepek.hahahaha Even for sahur this morning, I ate more than my rice. Boleh gitu?

All is going to end up in my belly soon. Whatevs, I feel super satisfied. Is this love? eh is this what people call craving? =)

Murtabak Maggi senang and sedap

Then mix the mee, shallot, chilli and eggs. and oh half a packet of maggi perencah. dang! my english is rusty...

Heat the non stick pan then just booshhhh everything onto the pan. Ala-ala telur dadar gituh

Tadaaaaaaaaaaa! Fry till it becomes quite crispy. Serve with sauce. My cousin served us with sambal ikan bilis. lagi giler sedap.hhehe

Asamboi Buah Pear

Let's talk about something not depressing shall we?eheh

When I was in Sibu, B and I together with parents in law went to attend a wedding in Lanang. A usual wedding where I found something unusual. Once we arrived, I noticed that most guests' fingers were reddish at the tip. I tot to myself they must have had malam berinai or something with the inai stain left on their finger tips.

So after greeting few relatives around, we moved towards the buffet area. Usual dishes till I saw something so brightly red in one of the containers. They looked like potato wedges, dipped in bright red color. I had never seen it before the day. I skipped it and went to find a spot to eat. After I finished with my plate, Mom in law came and showed me her plate, with the red food on it. It's MIL so couldnt refuse..hahahah so I took one wedge and bit the tip. Emmm...nyemmm....another big bite, munch munch and before I knew it, I almost finished all the red stuff.hahahahahaha

I asked B what was it. He said, it's pear, the fruit, mixed with asamboi. Donno the real name tho. But they call it Asamboi Buah Pear. A perfect dessert. I was told it would taste better when it's served cold.huhu.

So I googled about it but couldnt find many info. Here's the recipe. It's super duper easy to prepare. Follow the formula and you are done!

Pear + asamboi, stir stir tadaaa!!!!!

Recipe and picture were taken from here

Haishhh terliur pulak tengok gambar..Must prepare this one of these days....

Anyhoo, happy trying! =)))

Friday march

I was given a copy from those documents.tee hee... The clerk said I will receive my salary in April. Alhamdulillah =)))))))))

Yes, I'm still a bujang. Given by the school clerk in the same day.hehe

The bestest lamb chop so far in Melaka. I slept over at a friend's house so she brought me to The Windmill, Melaka Raya for dinner. The set includes a piece of lamb chop and chicken chop and the rest you could see on the plate, a bowl of mushroom soup and a glass of Ice Lemon Tea.

Overall rating: 4/5. Because the Ice Lemon Tea was sooo superb, unlike usual. Plan to bring Mom and the family for makan2 here.hehe oh before I forget, the price for one whole set is RM19.90. Worth it because the portion is big.hehe

A trip to UKM

Today I woke up early to go to UKM. For a mission: to collect surat pengesahan tamat pengajian and official transcript =) I'm a graduate!

Anyhoo, I opened the eyes at 5.45am and prepared breakfast for the first time for my family. Another weird behaviour that got my parents to raise their eyebrows.hahaha I cooked spaghetti carbonara. This was my 1st attempt and the outcome was not to my liking.

Terlalu cair..... But my brother finished the whole bowl by himself.hehe

This pose was meant for my boyfriend, but...gedik jugak nak letak.hahaha

I left home at 8.30am sharp. Stopped by at our local mini post office to buy pos ekpress envelope so that i could straight away post my friends' stuffs. Unfortunately, only 7 envelopes were available. I need another one! phew.

Then stopped by to fill the gas at Shell then to pump the tyres at Petronas. I know! Why should i stop at 2 different gas station?hahah

I went out Tol Simpang 4 at 9.05am and arrived at UKM around 10am. This is true. I really keep track of the  time.hehe once in Ukm, i couldnt find a parking space near Cansellori so I had to park at DECTAR. Under the hot blazing sun, I walked to Cansellori, got honked by lorry drivers. teyyyyyybaaaa rasa hot.hahahaha

I helped to pay 2 of my friends' convo fee then headed to level 4, Bahagian Pengurusan Akademik. Took a number and was called straight away. I gave the sweetest smile to the guy there so that he wouldnt be so grumpy processing my demands. There were altogether 9sets of transcripts I'm collecting so need to show good face , no?

The documents were printed right there and then. the transcripts and the official letter were sealed in a brown envelope with ukm headings.

the envelopes =)

Then, I went back to the car, filled in the pos ekspress envelope with the documents, and wrote the addresses. Phew. Once done, I drove around UKM, just to check around, went to Pusanika, to the post office there. There werent many cars around so I got good spot near the entrance =)

It was very quite at Pusanika. Most of the shops were closed.

Hey, this is new.

I bought another envelope. Fill in the details. I asked the kakak where should I submit those envelopes. She said it was outside at the Pusanika Car Park. Please note that I was bathed in my own sweat at this time. This has been the 1st time after sooooo long that I ran chores with my 2 feet.hehehehe

Oily skin due to not being fit =.='

The building in front of Pusat Bahasa bus station is almost done!!!

Later I drove to the faculty, wanted to ask regarding our convo and final sem exam slip. They still dont know the exact date for our convo. Boo HOO..

waited for few minutes to be entertained. Even the faculty office was quite.

Didnt see our file: TESL UKM IPBL

Must take pictures here during convo day.

the parking lot was empty too.

Bye UKM. See you in September!! =)

after that, I drove to Bangi Sesyen 15, wanted to tapau Nasi beryani. I passed by the restaurant. seemed like it was just open. So i waited for 10 minutes. Then only I noticed the banner, hung in front of the restaurant. It said: Tutup dari 11 july - 22 july for renovation.#$%^&*()

favourite restaurant was closed.waaaaa

no caption

i was devastated. so with heavy heart I drove to the heart of bangi, to Yati Ayam Percik to tapau its famous nasi kerabu. I also ordered a set of keropok lekor. This is the closest taste for real keropok lekor. Munched them on the way back to Melaka.

Over fried i think but the taste was still awesome.

the famous nasi kerabu. the chicken wasnt in the picture though..

arrived home, messaged some friends, took shower, then krohhh kroohhh....

I dont know why but I'm feeling so tired. even now. Takkan badan dah berkarat lama tak buat kerja? @.@

anywayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy....I'm gonna be a graduate in September. The 6years journey is moving towards the end. Sob..sob...sob..

The simplest Roti Jala Recipe =)

Today, I didnt know what had gotten into me that I decided to make Roti Jala for tea. Mom and Abah were quite surprised with my unexpected behaviour.haha Truth is, I felt so in the spirit to cook since bro is home.

I want to share the recipe with you. Thanks to Visha because of her I feel like sharing.hahaha I swear you can prepare and done eating this in less than 30minutes.

Alright. Let's check the ingredients.

From left: Water, an egg, 2 senduk nasi of flour, turmeric powder, a pinch of salt (optional). Pardon the backdrop =.='

The steps:

First: Add flour into the blender, pour some water. Blend.
 Add water if necessary.
Add the egg. Blend some more.
Add some turmeric powder for coloring. You can use coloring stuffs but we all know it's not healthy.hehe
Blend well till its...err...how to say...not too thick not too light? fluffy la enuff said.hahah

The mixture will look like this. =)

pour some into this....what's this called? Roti Jala stuff la..used to draw the net.haha

Heat the pan with few drops of oil. I know it doesnt look like few drops. Over....

Draw it like in the picture. or any other design you like. If suddenly you are thinking of your boyfriend, feel free to write his name. I didnt though.

Once it's nicely done, flip it into half like the above. Piece of cake. Ceh berlagak.

Then, flip some more, making it look like a quarter. Arrange nicely on the plate. You can opt to roll it or any other you prefer. I'm teaching the easiest way. Eh nope. the easiest way need to flipping or folding.hahaha

This is the last piece. made it into pancake.hehe

Taraaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Serve it while its hot with curry. I happened to cook chicken curry for lunch.

Happy cooking!

p.s this is my first time making this without mom supervision. And the second time for my whole life. Glad that it turned out ok. They all went safely down to bro's, mom's and abah's stomach. I ate only few pieces. I was feeling full seeing my family eating my cooking.hehehehe

French toast to break the monotonous of life.

Ok the title was a bit long.haha

If you have read my post yesterday, you would understand. Today I woke up pretty early. 7am because my nose is making a scene. Whenever the weather is cold, it will start to sneeze non stop. Geez. So had to get up and find something hot to drink.

Anyhoo, I made french toast for breakfast since... not a reason actually. saje je... Here for a quick recipe. Much much much easier than making pancakes =p

So here it goes. The ingredients:

Bread of course, an egg (for 2pieces of bread), salt, sugar and fresh milk (not in picture =.=')
Btw, it's my favourite bowl =p

The steps:

Stir the egg with fork.

Add milk, salt and sugar.

Stir some more.

Heat the non stick pan.

Place the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl. Let the slices soak up egg mixture for a few seconds.

Carefully, turn over to soak the other side.

Put it on the pan. Cook as many bread as you wish.

This was the plate after the absorption process. See, an egg for two slices of bread. Just perfect!

The French toast.

2 French toasts =.='

Happy breakfast everyone!!

Au revoir.

Ceh bajet French kejap.haha
