Bulk update.

              as the day is around the corner, my colleagues in school have become so excited. yeah I know it's supposed to be me.hahaha but honestly, I dont feel the excitement yet. and please dont ask me why. Months ago I tot I would be overwhelmed with excitement at least a month before the wedding but to date, I have not. weird huh?

              Today my bridal shop came to set up my dais. It's a bit too large I think. But oh well. I think it's for a reception in a hall.not home. In the process of setting up, I was asked by the pondan about this and that. He suggested few things and I would agree to everything. Then he said 'Ko nak kawen ke tak ni dik??? Semua okay je??? hahahahaha but seriously, there's nothing not to be ok about. After they were done, my mom served them with ice cold drinks and banana fritters. One of the pondans said: 'Nak tau, kalo aku dpt semua customer macam ko memang meriah hidup aku. tak banyak songeh. semua ok je.'

annnddddd later he continued 'sebab ko tak banyak songeh, banyak benda aku kasi free je kat ko'

that's the part i like.muahahahahahahahahahahahaha

It's maybe my rezeki. I got a brand new dais chair, brand new dais, brand new guest tents. Rezeki or what?

At the moment of typing this, I'm tired. So tired that my body aches. That's why I was lectured today with the akak2 at school for not taking leave starting from tomorrow. I'll be on leave starting on Friday.hehe I need rest. I'm tired not from the wedding stuffs but school related.huhu

A week

My wedding is in a week. And because of that, the whole family is getting busy. or appear to look busy.hehe

My mom has been the bone behind all this. She has started getting sleepless, worrying about petty things like the windows havent been cleaned, or Abah's bike hasnt been move to a different spot or the flower pots are still at the same position.hahaha Since yesterday, she would nag about things but unfortunately, abah, daus and I would just go on living our lives. ok jahat gile.

While typing this, mom is vacuuming the prayer room. I could see she is uneasy looking at me, having breakfast while watching the final episode of How I Met Your Mother on the laptop. well mom....I'm just being me. The wedding is in a week. there's still time =p

Right after this looonnggg breakfast session, am gonna focus the attention to the bedroom. we need to do some rearranging. and cleaning.

what else eh? we are done sending out all the invitations to colleagues, family friends, neighbours, relatives and the villagers. I'm excited!!

Wedding is  tiring. I'm glad that I'm going through it right now where my parents are around, money is reachable and everyone mostly likely would come. Alhamdulillah =)

I cant wait to splurge my salary to something else instead the wedding. Cant wait!!!

FYI, if you havent gotten married or planning to, save save save. You wont stop spending until after the wedding is over. There's always a thing that need to be bought, EVERYDAY!

Hectic

Holla people. How ya doing?hehe

Life is treating me good. Just today I became a bijun - widely used in the school for Bidan Terjun. I was a bijun for an emcee-ing job for a workshop. I was dumbfounded when I found out the speaker is a orang puteyyyy. I knew I could but if they told me earlier, I would be so much prepared.hahaha I was given emcee jobs for few times already but this was the first for a native speaker. 

I prepared a simple script but as I was nervous, I didnt even peep at the notes. I babbled, stumbled and stuttered.muahahahah but I survived. that's the most important part.

Anyhoo, I think I did well till the last part where I made an announcement in Malay. Asking the teachers to return the evaluation form. Instead of saying 'Borang', I said 'BOLANG'!!! Hambek kauuuu sampai balik kena usik bolang bolang by the teachers =.='

As for the preparation, I think everything has gone well. Last Tuesday, my vendor sent over the stuffs for the dais. Next week they will come to set it together with tent and.....emmm..... cannot remember la. too many things.

Between work and wedding prep and fighting with parents for ideas and meself, I enjoy the whole process.

Lower 6 group has registered last week. and i'll have about 80 students for MUET. APUUUUUU!

My parents are busy or appear to be busy these few days. Cleaning, rearranging, complaining, cutting, painting and the list goes on.

Yesterday Abah cut down few bamboo trees in front of our house. They are getting too big and mom is scared we cannot fit the tents.haha

Mom has been nagging about preparing the cards for my colleagues. Today I gave in to her request and started cutting and pasting the name list on the envelope. Mom was right. I took it was a simple thing to do but I took almost 2 hours to settle it. But, it's done! yeay. Gonna start inviting starting 14 May.muehehe

I have been thinking about a signature thing to use for my family during my wedding reception.

I thought of using the traditional flower with money on it but.....

 

We had green boutonniere during my bros' wedding. 

Then I googled and got the idea of using felt and create felt flowers but...

Then my head went 'tinggg!' with ideas to use tissue to make carnation tissues but....

Then and then and then.... all excuses. haha

Until 2 weeks ago I got some spare time to visit bride-to-be blogs.hehe thennnnnn I got the idea. TING TING TING TING

to use botton badges! hoyyyeaaaahhh.

Actually this idea came across my mind last year but I rubbed it off because I thought mom would go against untraditional thing. But earlier this year, my bro and sis in law attended a wedding in Kelantan and told me about using badges as they had seen it at the wedding. Mom seemed ok with the idea. Then...as usual....  Procrastination is my best friend.

Anyhoo, i placed an order at wee hour in the morning before I got off to work. Around 5.30 am I think. I received a reply and the story goes on. In 2 days, we settled with the final design etc and I made payment. All in 3 days.hehe

So today I got home. Mom said there's a parcel for me. I was thinking 'ok what have I bought this time??"hahahaha kes online shopping tak sedar diri. I tore open the parcel and waaaaaaaaaaaa my badges are here!!!!!!!!!  I totally forgot about it.muehehehehe

 

I only ordered 20 pieces for my family. Couldnt afford to order for my extended family... Would love to though....

  I plan to collect it back after the wedding and have it framed.hehe Saw one of the brides did this and I want it too. Kenangan hoccayyyy!

Of Wedding Blog

A long time ago, I thought of transforming my blog or creating a new blog just to keep track of my wedding preparation. But as time went by, I realised I wasnt suit to have any wedding blog mainly because I dont think I'm creative or will create anything wow-wy or.... ok plain said, it would be boring.

But guess who is soooo excited than me???

MY ABAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I was busy the whole day since the netball practice for  state level competition has just started. I got home and logged into FB as usual. My top story was about my dad inviting friends and relatives to my wedding. Little did I know he created a BLOG just for it!!!hahah

What are so funny about it?

1. The fact that he created a blog just for my wedding. Though it makes me shy shy but deep down I'm so touched. =)

2. He posted about my bio.hahah macam nak promote anak but anak yang dah nak kawen.hhehe

3. He even put up wedding countdown hoccayyyy!!!! I have mine too but it's counting by days/months. My dad's - by seconds too!! Lagi semangat.

4. The blog address is so personal. Go visit!

5. Abah made few errors. Example: Saiful FITRI instead of Saiful FIKRI. hahahahahah son in law punya nama pun salah daaa...

It's a sweet gesture from a father to daughter. I lapp u abah!

The only thing is that he used the picture during my E-day. Have I told you that I dont like me in that picture?hhaha

6 weeks

One of my missions when B came to visit was to take a photo for our banner/canvas printing picture. It didnt happen. Because first, we didnt have good camera. Second, mom was always there so we were shy shy fat cat to take picture. Thirdly, I was tired most of the time Might be due to the whole day at the stadium for MSSM and lack of caffeine.haha This is the only picture we took. Sometimes I wish we would camwhore more but we both dont like taking pictures. hmm..

This is the best that we could capture. At Jalan Tar =). I lost few kilos, he gained few. hehe

Anyhoo, captured this picture, a group of students was demonstrating, demanding for free education bla bla bla. I agree for free education to be given to those who deserve it i.e. students who excel or will work hard to excel in their studies. The rest, dont waste our time please.

Total catch. ehee Mom told me to buy a new luggage for me and B. I bought purple one.tee hee hee... 

As for now, I've bought all the things that should be bought.

2. Bunga telur and bunga manggar. Bought at Semua House. Quite cheap compared to Melaka.

3. Hijabs from Ariani. Mom insisted that I bought all my hijabs i.e. Solemnization, bride reception and groom reception from Ariani. Reason unknown.hahahah But not expensive ones. All below RM50 coz Ariani was on sale except for groom's side. Thank you B =)

4. Reception heels - I bought from Carlo Rino boutique in Midvalley. Will be worn for both receptions. 

5. Wedding hantaran - both sides settled. hoyeahhhh.

6. I also bought 3 cotton baju kurung from Jalan Tar. Quite cheap wehhhh. So I borong all.muehehehe except I didnt get to buy any tudung bawal. Must go there, again!

B has safely arrived in Bintulu. We didnt get to be all mushy or sappy coz Mom was there all the time.hahahaha 6 weeks left baby!!

Wedding Invite thru FB

Yeapp finally I created the invite after delaying the thought for so long. Reason being is I feel shy. I am not sure why but I was shy. Stupid betul. If shy, no need to get married la.haha last night, when I started inviting people, I could feel that my blood was rushing to myhead. Sebab malu punya pasal. I was sweating too. haish.

I thought of inviting people at the end of April/ early May. However, since many of our friends keep asking about it, we decided to create it last night. Alrite. Virtual invitation has been sent. Now collecting the address to send the invitation cards. hehe =)

I was searching for our pictures to be put up as the main picture for our FB invitation. and also for banner. and also for Canvas printing. I just realise that we dont have many pictures together. hmm.... kena amik gambau banyak-banyak nih. But we both are shy to take pictures together. no kidding. check my phone. only one or two pictures of us. 

Hopefully can get good pictures when he comes this weekend. Mak, tolong amik!

60 days

Exactly 60 days from now. =)

My dad helped to collect this from Pejabat Agama today.

2 months = 8 weeks = 62 days

and I;ll be yours. InsyaAllah =)

Right now, most of the teachers at the school will ask about my preparation sampai I jadi maluuuuuu.I'm not sure from who and how they found out about my wedding but I'm happy that they are happy for me.

As for preparation, everything is almost settle only that I have to catch up on the progress with the vendors. Especially abang premons who has been so quite from the past 2 months. I have to check whether my dress is ready.hehe

 I've always wanted to give B macarons since my tongue tasted the sweetness of it 3 years ago. In Melaka, it's kinda hard to find bakers for macarons butttttttt i just found out my colleague is a baker.muahahahahahahahahahahahahaha 

Astagfirullah, gelak very the not bride material. =P

This colleague of mine is a very talented baker. She learns how to bake and decorate through YouTube only! and her workmanship is superb!!!.

Today, she brought a whole tray of blueberry cheese tart. I can promise you this, her tarts tasted sooo good that I could cry of happiness. This is not an exaggeration. The tarts were fluffy especially the cheese. And she told me she didnt use phila or any other common cheese. She used a different brand/type that I had not heard before. Anyhoo, the taste was awesome~ Bila dapat gaji nak order banyak2 bawak balik rumah buat sarapan.hehehehe

And because of the tarts that she brought today, many teacher inquired to order from. Go go go kak! It's very easy to deal with her. Just tell her what cha want and she will try to fulfill it.

p/s She didnt ask me to promote her but because of her fluffy tarts, I think she deserves recognition. Serius sedap gilerr and tak muak.makseh =)

Wedding

Now that my cousin is safely married, all the attentions no go to me, the next in line to be hitched. It's just natural for people to get curious and excited about weddings.hehe They want to know about the concept, about the theme color, about the designs, about the caterer and down to the littlest thing like what would be my centerpiece.

I'm not trying to hide anything or trying to create surprise elements about my wedding but honestly, I myself, the bride is almost clueless as those who were asking. True story.

Let's break it down.

1. The concept.
From my understanding, the concept should be vintage, retro, traditional, garden or fairy tale. For my wedding, I think my concept is 'Lendu Kampung Style Concept with a hint of modern contemporary and a little fairy tale'. Boleh gitu??hahahahahaha Why the because? it is because I have never thought of any concept. My one and only concern is that the solemnization goes well. InsyaAllah.

2. The theme color
I think I've talked about this so many times in the previous post. My theme color would be purple with a hint of green (the wall is green) and also bright yellow (the curtain is in this color) and also cream (my baju nikah). Can you imagine that?hahahaha I dont want to stick to one color because some of the things for the wedding were sponsored by kind hearted people so I dont want to be lebih kuah dari sudu by demanding things. People want to give, you make do of everything. And I forbid, yes forbid my mom to tailor a new curtain just for the sake of the reception. it's not economical and we are running out of space to keep curtains and bed sheets.

3. The designs
These include the design of my dais, meja beradab, dresses and make up. Honestly, I put all my trust on the vendors. As long as they turn out appropriate should be fine wimme. I dont expect too much because if it doesnt turn out like what i have expected, i'm gonna be a bridezilla, maybe faint a little be or worst wanting to cancel the wedding. yes a bride can be that emo. so shoving aside all those thoughts, i want everything to be ok and not burdening anybody. If everyone is happy, I am happy. If everyone is happy, they are most likely not to talk bad about the wedding. Kata-kata itu doa.

4. Caterer
The caterer is my mom's colleague who has been in the business for so long. We hired them for merisik and also engagement and the food were delicious. they are a bit pricey but my mom, abah and i believe that we should put more money on food than other nonsensical stuffs. When the guests eat delicious food and not getting diarrhea the next day, the purpose of the kenduri is achieved. That's the most important thing. In our village, people dont usually talk about the grand wedding. it's the food that is getting the attention.hehehehe

5. Door gift.
The caterer is giving out free 400 doorgifts. After thinking for so long, mom decided to add another 600 for the guests. So we dont need to crack our heads about this thing anymore. and all of them will be prepared by them. My house will have more space since we dont keep the doorgifts till the reception date.muehehehe I like!

Basically, I want everything to be simple.

I've got people asking me what's my current project for the wedding. They thought I might be so busy by now. They even asked my mom. Funny thing was we both looked at each other spontaneously and laughed a lil bit. Because so far, we are not busy with anything.haha We want to get busy but donno with what.hoho

Ok la. A long post for the whole week. will be going to Kedah tomorrow. Mom is excited to give out the invitations plus my cousin's reception on the groom's side is on Saturday.

bride..


I was so extremely tired today. At school I almost dozed off while waiting for my class period.

Anyhoo, I've settled all the legal documents today. yiiiihhaaaaaa! and also my medical check up. I went to Hospital Alor Gajah today and asked whether i could skip another medical test since I've done it earlier this month. Because urine test will take a week to complete and I dont have the time to wait anymore. The lady at the counter said cannnnnnnn!

So I took a number and waited to be called. Once i entered the doc's room, I was welcomed by a very hunky young doctor. I was like goshhhhh I looked like a dead cat today and here one of the most handsome doctor I've ever seen sat before my eyes @______@

The procedure went well and it didnt take 5 minutes to settle everything. Then I received a message from my tailor. My baju nikah dah siappppppppppppppppppppppp! *pengsan*

Actually it was supposed to be ready last week but when I went to collect it, apologetically the auntie asked for another week. So I said ok jahhhh.

And now, right now, the baju is comfortably laying in front of me. Now now now i really feel like want to force the kadi to come to our house and marry us this instant.hahahahaha

The baju turned out to be sooo okay. I never expect too much in all the preparations so when I first laid my eyes on this baju, I'm in lerrrvvvvvvvvvvv!

Scary

The future it is. I read a post from Vivy's blog today regarding future planning. I have always that thought in my head but she managed to put those thought in words. 

I constantly think about the future especially financial issue. With kids (InsyaAllah) as part of the plan, managing the money is the utmost important. And as Vivy has put it about having 'the talk' with future spouse, B and I havent really discussed about this. hehe B, let's have a talk! Though I can say that with combined salary, B and me we can have a comfortable life (comfortable not wealthy), I still have concerns and so many what ifs about the future.

Scary, it is the future.

Anyhoo, many kind hearted people around me lend whatever they have to help me with the wedding preparation. I couldnt express how much I feel  and thankful for all the helps. hehe

Just yesterday, one of my aunties dropped these trays for my hantarans. hehe Thanks Busu! My room is too packed with other stuffs so have to keep these things in my brother's room. Haiya!

HIV Test Klinik Komuniti Peringgit

Assalamualaikum, Salam Satu Malaysia and Salam Melaka Bandaraya Teknologi Hijau 

(our school uses this for every assembly..hahaha)

Today I came back pretty late. I had extra lesson with one of the form 6 students, then headed to Klinik Komuniti to do my HIV test. This is one of the requirements if you want to get married ye.

Anyhoo, I drove out of the school sharply at 2. I've googled few government clinics to do this test and I've chosen the one in Peringgit because it's a new clinic, it's on my way home and because I planned to stop by GIANT and tapau pizza.

I entered the clinic compound at 2.15pm but the lady told me to come back at 2.45pm. I was contemplating whether to go to Giant to eat or not. Super hungry la weh.. But then I noticed there are few shops right in front of the clinic.I dont like to eat alone but today I did. A proof of how hungry I was. So I took few lauks and white rice, found a place to sit and called B. So he was sort of accompanying me through out my lunch.hahaha 

Then after that, walked back to the clinic. To cut story mory short, here's the procedure:

1. MUST bring the green form from Jabatan Agama. Then you'll be asked to fill in about 4 different forms including the green form.

2. Then you'll be asked to go to ROOM 11 for HIV test. Take a number and wait.

3. Once your number is being called, enter the room. One lady was waiting for me. She scanned through my form and started asking questions. I was thinking 'what a friendly lady'. But that was a trap!!! Little did I know she was distracting my attention because after that I experienced pain that made me scream a little. She was drawing blood (ok enough exaggerating Nurul!!). She took few drops of my blood after she cut my finger using something sharp. Ok I dunno what that thing is called.hehe

After that, she asked me at what time I took my lunch. I said about 45minutes before. Then she said no wonder my reading was very high. I'm not sure what reading but I guess it's the sugar in my blood. My bad! I didnt know they'll check that too.

4. After that, you'll be asked to wait for awhile. Then they'll call your name and return back the forms. The nurse will tell you to go to ROOM 31 for a quick medical check up. I'm healthy except for the sugar in my blood. The nurse also checked my height, weight, BMI and blood pressure. I've LOST 4KGS baby!!!!!!!!!hahaha

5. Finally, they will say, "CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE NOW ALLOWED TO GET MARRIED!!!"

Ok I lie.hahahaha but that's basically the process. It didnt take more than 45 minutes to complete all.

Now, my next step is asking for SURAT AKUAN BUJANG from the school. I is shy...hahahahaha rase nak sepak.

p/s There were 2 different couples, taking the test together. And all the nurses/ MO I met asked me where's my partner coz they said usually there are partners doing hiv test together.. B i is sad.  =(

Legal process

Hola peeps.

Today I went for my first course as a teacher, BBSM course.hehe Didnt have to go to school.muehehehe

Wedding prep updates.

Currently B and I are working on the legal process. The process is quite tedious but necessary. But it makes me dizzy most of the time. Too many and too long.

One of the requirements is to have a letter, official letter from the employer i.e. the school to state that I'm still single. eh betul ke ayat ni?hahah Surat Akuan Bujang. The problem is, I shy to ask. Mak said, malu toksah kawen T___T... But seriously, once I ask about the letter the whole school will be acknowledged that I'm getting married. NO NO NO. I dont like that kind of attention. malu....

Actually I plan to ask for the letter in April. But.... Abah has been bugging me to get all documents ready asap. He keeps telling me 2 bulan je lagi apsal nak tangguh2? See abah den. 3 bulan lagi kot.Not 2 months.hahaha

Hopefully everything will go smoothly as plan. InsyaAllah =)

Honeymoon is confirmed!

We are going to Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri and jeng jeng jeng for our honeymoon.yeahhhhhhh!

Why the because?

We wont be staying in the same place more than 2 nights, that's why.hehehehehehehe We are going to transit to several places within a week.

Anyhoo, B spent the his off days to plan and settle our hotels and activities in jeng jeng jeng. Bookings have been made, deposits have been paid. Now waiting to pack the bag and leave. =))))))

Just a teaser of hotels we are going to stay.

Upon arrival, we'll be staying at this hotel.

The next day we'll leave the city and travel to the high land. Wanna take pictures with cows =))

The following day we will return back to the city and spend our last night here.

If you know the place then you know la. heeee Sajeeee jewww kasi suspen though macam dah tak suspen.hahahaha

You know or not, B, mom, my auntie and even my inner self have been telling me that I look more excited to go jalan-jalan than the wedding. But really, I'm wayyyyyyyyy more excited planning our holidays in different places than my own wedding.hahaha

I'm thankful that our rezeki is soo easy with the planning. Since B is the member of Petronas Chemical Group, we got member price for all the hotels which help us to save quite sum of money.hehe Alhamdulillah.

Now, what's next?

Anyhoo, I'm sooo excited since I just collected our invitation cards.hehehe last week the vendor called to inform that our cards were up for collection but I hadnt got time till today. Now we are officially getting married. Coz we got it written black and white yo!haha I know I've been counting days like 4 months 1 day left till the wedding but with the invitation cards right in front of my eyes, I couldnt contain my excitement. boleh?

The style is 3-fold-both sides-printed. wah kau sukati bagi nama.hehe We wanted to save some budget so we decided to share one card with 2 addresses. Jimattt!!

Anyhoo, the cards will be dispersed starting end of April to early May. Wait for it hoccay!

4 months and 4 days

I drive my mom crazy every time I tell her:

"Mak, we only have 4 months 7 days before the wedding"

And I say it about 4 times a week.hahaha

4 months baby, 4 months.

1. Wedding invitation - Done! But havent collected yet since I got no time to go =.='

2. Homestay in Kuching - Deposit paid!

3. Homestay in Sibu -  Deposit paid!

4. Horny moon -  Flight ticket checked! Still surveying for hotel and activities though. We ols going to Negeri Di bawah bayu jewww since cuti xpanjang. HEHEHE -  I cannot apply for CRK since I'm still in probation period. Plus cuti kawen mom said only 2 days jewww.

Anyhoo, I've decided that all my diy(s) idea will not be carried out since I dont have time. I'll make used of everything that's available.hehehe

Like I said before, I dont really follow my color theme. I'm so over that already because it's tiring and expensive to really do that. Mom is always worried that the curtain wont match the color theme and I hate it if that makes her stress. I want everybody to be happy, food is good and have a barakah reception. wah gitu!

But seriously, nowadays if people ask me what's the color theme/ theme, I'd say -  Rainbow theme.hahaha

Happy Chinese New Year Encik Sepul!!

Assalam lovely people =)

Today was fun. My uncle and auntie had a kenduri doa selamat to celebrate their wedding anniversary and to celebrate that all their kids have finished school and working now. My auntie went all out with the food as she prepared almost 7 different dishes - daging salai masak lemak with rebung, ayam masak merah, pisang masak lemak, sambal jawa, sambal melayu (haahahaha), acar, ikan masin bulu ayam (hahahahaha) and sambal belacan. Eh! Altogether were 8 dishes la....haha please be informed that all the names are not made by me. It's the real name! Not to mention many many kuehs (cakes) like kuih bakar (the favourite), kuih seri muka, kuih telinga k, marble cake and I couldnt remember anymore =___='

As of wedding preparation, Alhamdulillah, everything almost sorted their way into the picture. I'm no longer stress about unnecessary thing. I was so stress that Miss Red was late for a week this month.hahahaha aMainly because I'm gonna start working next week. Yeay half month salary for January.Muahaha

Apart from that, I've got many people wanted to sponsor this and that, lent me this and that. Alhamdulillah alhamdulillah. You know what, about a week ago I told my mom that I dont want to decorate the bedroom with purple theme. Just want something pastel, or light color and I chose cream. God is great, today Mak Teh, my auntie brought her gorgeous curtain completed with the scallop for the room. She made the curtain for Kak Ana's wedding back in 2005 and never been used since. And it's cream/light gold. =)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))).

B has started his legal document process on his side. One thing is, can HIV form from Sarawak be used in Melaka? Should be right? It's confusing since different states have its own Jabatan Agama, the rules and regulations oso different. Well, gonna call MAIM one of these days...

Now now I know wedding stuff is boring. 

Tomorrow I'm gonna go and spend soma moneyhhhhhhh for pens, pencils, ruler, liquid paper etc. Gosh i'm excited as if I'm going back to school. HEHEHEHE My mom is excited too. We went to Pasar Malam in Alor Gajah today and she stopped at this booth, selling brooches. She asked me to choose anything that I like. We went shopping brooches yawwww!hahahah

Catering for reception.

Alhamdulillah, mom has finally finalised the menu with our caterer. woot woot! Since food play a major and vital and deadly role in any wedding, therefore, Mom has confidently chooses the caterer without doubt. wah gitu!

The caterer is none other than mom's colleague in her school. Yeay. We hired them before for merisik and engagement events last year so my mom is confident with the services. Plus we were told by relatives and B's family that the food was delicious especially the briyani.ehehe

Engagement. Mom ordered kampung food that time, not beriyani. Beriyani was during merisik.hehehe

Bits of information:

A.Z Farhan Catering, Masjid Tanah Melaka. 

They offer various packages starting with RM8 per head. Mom opts for package A which includes:

1. Nasi beriyani
2. Nasi putih
3. Ayam masak merah
4. Daging rebung masak lemak
5. Acar buah
6. Pajeri nenas
7. Fruits
8. Chocolate cake for dessert- seriously this cake is sooooo yummeh and sooo moist!
9. Pulut hitam for dessert
10. Mineral water
11. Punch drinks
12. Papadom.
13. Special dishes for high table: Siakap 3 rasa, udang berhias, sotong berhias etc.
14. 2 tiers wedding cake
15. Special door gifts for 30 pax
16. Since we order for more than 1000 guests, we are going to get free 200 goody bags.

Fuhhh! Seems a lot right?tee hee. Mom intention is to invite all of her colleagues, relatives in Kedah, all relatives in Singapore. Basically all la... So she wants the food to be satisfying. I also prefer to spend the money on food than other stuffs. ngeh ngeh.

Some plus points for this caterer are:

1. They use boiled water not directly from the pipe.
2. They do not wash the dirty dishes at the client's house. Selamat longkang. =p
3. They provide 15 waiter/waitresses in uniform.
4. Tissues and utensils are provided.

The only minus point for this caterer is they dont provide canopy service so we have to look for another vendor. So far we have listed 2 which are yet to be contacted.hehehehe 

So next, wedding invitations to be finalised tomorrow then can start printing already. Woo hoo! *dalam hati, rabak poket....eh bukan dah koyak sampai tak boleh tampal lagi ke??hahaha*

p/s it makes me sad when some individuals who blatantly said we want to show off by hiring a caterer for the wedding. Or said, Takpela...mak kaya...boleh la..."  If you know us, I mean my mom, she prefers to do rewang -  cook ourselves with the help of the neighbours. The problem is who's going to help us with all the work? We lived in Borneo for 14 years, which means we missed most of the kenduri in kampung. Kita tak tolong kenduri orang, sape nak tolong kenduri kita???
