One step closer =)

Finally, after much dramas, advices, thoughts, sleepless nights, I paid 30% of deposit to our chosen photographer. None other than Mohd Razali. Seriously, it is so hard to make decisions regarding your wedding. I was tempted to hire other photographers with the packages, quality etc... finally we made our decision. And I pray, hope, dream that we'll get what we paid.hehe

Yesterday, I went to his website and saw this. He already blocked the date for us. Can you believe it?? I know I cant because yesterday we were still  immature monkeys in school and now we are getting married?

Oh by the way, I covered the date because honestly, we are gambling here. We are still not sure when the school holidays is going to start. If there's changes, you will hear me screaming and you know, the date is changed.hahaha but I think you can guess the date already.

And to my siblings, please dont tell mom about this. She has no idea that I already book a photographer because as I said, the date is not confirmed. It is confirmed actually but have to wait for the official calendar from the government.haha jangan kepoh ngan mak ok!

Now, I'm at ease. I will leave for the rest of preparation when the date has been confirmed. Should we get a videographer? I know we should . But that an extra RM1500++ ! We barely made it for the photographer alone. Should we? It will be fun if we have a recording of the events. But where are we gonna fork that extra cash?

Any sponsors?? anyone? anyone? anyone?

p/s to all future bride and groom, wedding is gonna cost you a LOT!. Though I am still at the beginning of the planning process, I can feel it that I am going to be at least RM10K poorer in a year. But hey, wedding is an investment! Like the Chinese uncle at the car workshop told my mum, if you have money, dont buy a car. Get married! Because you'll have extra at least RM2K from your spouse's income. Nice one uncle =)

p/p/s No, I'm not getting married for money. It's love people!

Cold drinks for school lunch

Do you remember how active we were in primary school? We would jump up and down, ran here and there, climbed up trees...well at least that was me. When we moved to Sarawak, I always came home late since I had to wait for mum to finish work. Primary school usually ended at 12.30 pm and I got home about 4pm on usual basis. I was lucky that most of my friends were also like me. So we spent our afternoon together playing games till our parents fetched us.

Now getting to the topic, we kids love cold drinks right? I mean the plain water one. NOt the carbonated drinks. When I was that age, mom only gave me RM1 per day. 60 cents for nasi lemak and 40cents for after school snacks. But I needed drinks right? So my brothers came up with the idea to put mineral water in the freezer. You know, when the water was ice hard, we brought them to school, and became our supply for cold drinks till afternoon at least. No kidding! The only downside of the idea was that the dripping water from the bottle. And it usually got into my bag and wet my books =).......ahhhh.......how I miss being kids again.

even puppies love em'

it looked like this in the afternoon. The ice was still there =)

Lately I have too much time for thinking. Lucky for me, I was always thinking about happy moments. hehe I wanna work but we are going to Langkawi this coming school holidays, so I cant go if i'm working right? well, why not enjoy the last paid vacation?haha by the way, I have registered for a basic cupcake class. I cant wait to learn how to deco the cakes. yippieeeeeeeeee!

p/s the pictures were googled

Nak kahwin pakai banyak duit, dowh~~

It has been days since I last updated my blog. Truth is I lost the touch to write now. I log on to blogger every day but my mind usually went blank.haha

For the past few days, I have been spending most of my time googling about wedding photographer. I know it's wayyyyy early but our date will fall on school holiday, so i literally race with other B2B to get the best photographer.  I have my eyes on this particular photographer, based in Batu Pahat, Johor. Here are some of his artworks:

Nice!

Pas ni soh abah ready kebun getah la...who thought photoshoot in kebun getah could be romantic??haha

A good photographer captured the best moment candidly. I like this picture. I can feel the happiness in there through this photo =)

Actually I have many more photographers suggested by friends and family. But so far, I fell for this. Oh by the way, he is Mohd Razali. I have emailed him for the quotation, and guess what, it exceeds my budget. Little did I know that the price to hire a photographer has increased since my brother's wedding. But so far, Mr. Razali has given me the best offered. For 2 days (3 events) photoshoot, I think it's quite worth it. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh stress tau tak.

If I agreed with the package, I need to fork out RM1K for the deposit. Ok now, go guess how much the total is. Ini belum masuk photographer for B's wedding reception in Sibu. (pengsan!!) Ok I might seem a bit too rush right but again, I am scared that if i wait till the last minute, somebody else will grab him and I'm left with wannabe photographer. DONWANT!

Whiny much?

Apart from that, I have surveyed packages for the dais, dresses, catering...basically, if you dont have about RM20K in hand....it's gonna be hard. A modern dais starts with RM2K at least. I dont want the old fashion dais. mengada tak? lempang baru tau =.=

tak masuk baju nikah..yes I am planning to tailor our baju for solemnization. Luckily, B's dad can tailor it for him and his mum knows how to do embroidery. We just save RM400 for the groom's baju melayu.miahahahah

I know even with financial constraint right now, we will be able to go through all these. I cant wait to start working. save money. phew...

Pelamin kegeraman - Arma Couture

I have been feasting my eyes with beautiful daises (pelamin) by Arma Couture. I heard about him last year and from my auntie. I love his artwork, the details, choice of flowers, the concept, lighting - basically, everything. The designs are mostly simple but not boring, just elegant! Here are some of the designs that make me drool and fly high. Let's feast our eyes...

I love this because all the colors blended well. It's simple, soft and eye catchy. This kind of combination reminds me of fairy tales =)

This one is suitable for garden theme. I feel like Kate Middleton already~

Dont you wanna shed tears already?

This combination is also my favourite. I might want my dais like this. I want the main color white. So that any dress I wear will look outstanding. I dont like the idea where everything must follow the color theme. If the dais is purple, for god sake dont wear the same shade too because the dais will speak more than you. Well, just my opinion. Dont wanna end up like a chameleon, right? =)

B, can we have this for the reception at your side? =PPPP

Arma Couture does not offer doing dais only but also arrangement for the gifts. Personally, I fell in love with the designs above and hopefully I can get something like this for my wedding gifts =)

The design made the gifts looked exclusive and untouchable ...

I prefer this more but without the transparent casing. It looks sweet. I love the flower arrangements at the side as they didn't cover the gifts. I don't like the arrangements to be too bushy...I always have this thought that bushy arrangements are like inviting frogs or snakes to live in them. Because in reality, that's where those creatures live!

So who is Arma Couture? Here's a bit of information taken from Arma's blog:

Arma Abdul Rahman is a graduate student from UiTM in the field of Art & Design, major in Fashion Design. Seconds after graduating, he started to work on his own wedding planning company. Even though he started from zero, his talent and interest in wedding planning proved when public and even local celebrities started to recognize his name and his creative creation in the wedding planning industry. Mawi and Ekin, Anne (hot FM dj), the winner of reality TV show called ‘gadis melayu”, Aida, Bienda and Elyana are the names of celebrities who already use Arma’s service and creativity to do the pelamin, decoration and also wedding outfit for their big day. Arma, which known as a workaholic person, planning to expand his business to higher level and hopefully one day, his effort will make him one of the big names in the industry.

Arma has worked with many celebrities (based on his blog) such as Bienda, Mawi-Ekin, Nurul Huda, Alyah etc. He also designs wedding gowns, dresses. Basically its a one stop center la. Click here to feast your eyes moreeee:

The question is, do I have enough money in the world to use his service? FYI, the price for his daises start at RM7K...Wedding gift arrangement at RM180 per tray....SIK MAMPOOOO KAMEK!

Well, it's not wrong to dream right? At least now I have some ideas about my daises. and I know how much do I need to spend. I am so gonna harrassss all the bridal shops in Melaka to get my dreamt wedding. =p
